2017 in pictures

Lovely ladies Z and Cinder are doing a blog challenge and anyone can join! Second challenge of week 29 is “2017 in pictures”. You can find other people’s posts on their website.

I went through my blog posts for each month and chose the screenshots I felt most strongly about. It’s mostly PvP stuff and mounts. No surprise there 🙂

January

anduin

I reached Prestige level 1, level 50 and got a quest that sent me to the Stormwind Keep. There were leaders of Alliance and other important lore characters and Anduin had a lovely speech about me and everyone cheered for me and it was very heartwarming. It was such a great little event. I loved it.

February

Jade Pandaren Kite String for We’re Going to Need More Saddles! I worked so hard to get all the mounts I could in 2017 and these achievements felt so good!

March

Arcanist’s Manasaber Suramar for finishing Suramar questline. Suramar was such a big part of Legion and I enjoyed it very much. Parts of it were frustrating as hell but it was a great storytelling.

April

I love micro-holidays. They’re such a great random content. And March of the Tadpoles was my favourite. Look at these cuties!

May

PvP brawls. They’re basically PvP on LSD. I enjoyed most of them. And they’re completely optional so I didn’t have to do the ones I didn’t enjoy. Gravity Lapse in Eye of the Storm is great fun. Baa!

June

Class mounts! My flying purple disk! They were hit or miss overall but I love my disk and the paladin ponnies are very pretty too.

August

I have spent a ridiculous amount of time (and gold) for this mount, Ultramarine Qiraji Battle Tank. Worth every copper and every minute. And it didn’t make me hate archeology which is surprising.

September

My achievements lined up perfectly. Violet Proto-Drake for What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been was my 200th mount. It felt incredible.

October

I finally got the paragon reputation mount I wanted since I first saw it. As a tailor, I had all the carpets so I needed this. And I got it. No more Withered Army Training scenario. Ever!

November

We got the next expansion announcement on Blizzcon and my immediate reaction was to make a Hordie to see the story from both sides. I boosted an undead mage with the boost I got with Legion but I never played her much and with the leveling changes we’ll get in 7.3.5, I can’t wait to level again. I wanted a druid and I chose a troll because it felt like the best fit. So this is Tanniy.

December

I’ve been working on secondary professions lately and getting recipes I was missing so I beat up a ghost for a soup recipe. I love going back to MoP.

Return to my Bucket List

Lovely ladies Z and Cinder are doing a blog challenge and anyone can join! First challenge of week 29 is “Return to your Bucket List”. You can find other people’s posts on their website.

My plan for 2017 post wasn’t part of Z and Cinder blog challenge yet but I still did it. I thought this would be painful because I felt I’d been slacking but I actually did a lot of things from my list! Let’s take a look, shall we?

Keep doing PvP for the prestige levels.

I’m at prestige level 10 so I’d say that’s pretty awesome! It’s definitely higher than I expected. And I’m still climbing up.

Doing world events for What a Strange, Long Trip It’s Been.

Done! It was a lot of work but I did it.

Keep up my mount farming, run ICC, Karazhan and The Eye every week. I only need to kill one boss in Karazhan and the Eye so it doesn’t take a lot of time but it’s tedious and I get lazy. But I really want those mounts so I’m going to farm them and if I don’t get at least one of them in 2017, I’m going to be sad and angry.

I got one! I have Invincible now and I’m farming Karazhan, the Eye and I added the MoP world bosses, Throne of the Four Winds and Firelands.

After we get flying in 7.2, I want to finish the Legion exploration achievements.

And we have our first fail. I finished the ones on the Broken Isles but I haven’t touched the ones on Argus. I’ll wait until it gets easier in next expansions because not being able to fly makes it frustrating. And there’s so need to get frustrated if I can wait and do it later when everything dies as soon as they see me.

I want to continue doing MoP archeology (I’m almost done!) and finish Loremaster of Outland and Loremaster of Northrend.

I did almost nothing in Outland and Northrend but I did all the archeology achievements. Not just the MoP ones, all of them!

I need to finish Outland soon but I will quest in Northrend with my troll druid after the leveling changes in 7.3.5 so I don’t need to do it on my main.

If I’m done with all this before 2018, I’m going to do Loremaster of Kalimdor to finish Loremaster. And I also want to do pet battles. I’ve done a few but there’s so many achievements! I wasn’t very good at them so I’ll need to do a lot of research first. But that probably will be my plan for 2018.

Kalimdor didn’t happen either but it will also happen after 7.3.5.

I did a lot of pet battling achievements but I’m missing the hard ones. I still need to do a lot of research and I haven’t found the time yet.

I played a lot of WoW in 2016 and I want to do other things in my free time too. I got into Assassin’s Creed games recently and I want to get back into reading. I used to read a lot and I miss it. I made a list of books I want to read (or re-read) in 2017 and it’s long, including Dark Tower series, Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings. WTB more free time.

I got into DnD which takes a lot of my time so I didn’t do much reading. I read first three Dark Tower books and got stuck in the fourth because I know the next chapter is sad and I don’t want to be sad. I might just skip it. Or not come back to it at all because the whole series is sad. But awesome.

I finished the first Assassin’s Creed game (well, my flatmate finished it for me, I wasn’t able to do the last fights because of the wonky controls), started Assassin’s Creed II, got frustrated with the less wonky but still very wonky controls and started Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate which is much better.

All things considered, I think I did well. I didn’t finish all the things I wanted back when I wrote the list but I still had fun and kept myself busy. As far as WoW goes, 2017 has been a great year. Let’s hope 2018 is even better!
