Last minute activities

I expect to be busy with new content from today so I wanted to finish some things. I got carried a bit and ended up doing a few zones in Kalimdor which wasn’t the plan so.. oops? I still had fun though!

We can now get reputation with Gelkis Clan Centaur and Magram Clan Centaur and it’s very easy, you just need to do their storyline in Desolace. The story is just awful, you unite the clans by mercilessly killing their leaders. I’m sure there was some other way to do that. It made me angry. But I did it and got my reps and achievement for 80 Exalted Reputations!

I can’t get to 100 without the PvP ones so my current goal is 90 and 100 will come eventually in a few patches/years.

I was only missing a few quests for Loremaster there so I finished it and got Desolace Quests. I also did Tanaris Quests to get some rep with the Steamwheedle Cartel. I was enjoying questing so I continued with Un’Goro Crater QuestsSilithus Quests and Felwood Quests.

I had a lot of fun on my mage so now I’m reconsidering maining death knight in BAzeroth. I got nostalgic about leveling her and all the things we’ve done together and I don’t think I can leave her behind. As much as death knight is convenient to play, do I really want to prioritise that over my mage, my first love and one of the reasons I started playing WoW? And after seeing the Warbringers: Jaina video and it’s pulling me even closer to my mage. Why would I main death knight in an expansion that finally gives us Jaina back? So current plan is to main mage and you can start placing bets on how many times I’ll change my mind before 8.1 comes. I say four.

Death knight

Spoilery pictures from death knight class campaign are coming so beware.

I feel like everyone and their mother and grandmother already talked about the death knight class campaign because it’s amazing so I’ll just share a few screenshots.

swords

My favourite skin for the swords. They look awesome.

back_to_the_start

Haven’t we been here before?

I made my death knight only a few weeks before so doing the class campaign so soon after the starting area was just the best. We came again, just older, more experienced, more.. evil.

dragon

Such a pretty mount!

dead_humor

Just a bit of dead humour here.

With all this done, I’m ready to go into War of the Thorns. I’m so nervous and excited and I can’t wait to see what happens but I also don’t want to see it because bad things are going to happen and I have all the feels!

The months with all the alts

I’m back! My break was longer than I expected but I’m finally here and ready to be a functional blogger again 🙂

Mage

I was going to finish ALL the things before BAzeroth pre-patch and I finished some and completely abandoned the rest (looking at you, mage tower and Field Medic, you were not worth the trouble).

I finished Brawler’s Guild reputation for the mount and managed to do most of the achievements. The rest was also not worth the trouble.

I finally got the fiery pony from original Karazhan!

It makes me want to level a warlock because the pony doesn’t fit my mage or any other character I currently have.

Other random things I got her were An Awfully Big Adventure and Friends on the Farm. I was going to go back to the Argent Tournament and start doing the dailies to buy the pets but then I decided to buy them all on the auction house. So worth the gold.

I’ve noticed that now that I play alts, I spend less time doing things on my mage that I don’t enjoy so much. Because of this, I missed out on some Legacy achievements but I think it’s worth it. Grinding is no longer for me. I wonder how long that will last..

Shaman

Enhancement shaman was so much fun! It took some time to learn how to play her properly after the boost to 110 but I was good enough to kill stuff. I boosted her in resto spec and got her enhancement and elemental artifact weapons.

I feel like a proper shaman now that I have Doomhammer. It’s also a very pretty weapon!

She has alchemy and herbalism so I did the quests to get recipes. On my mage, I did the class hall campaign and the professions quests while leveling so it was all sort of smushed together and I find that it’s much more enjoyable to focus on only one quest chain and not start anything else until I’m done with it.

The class hall campaign was very good. I recently started reading the World of Warcraft: Chronicles and elements and elemental lords are one of the first things it talk about so it was great going into it knowing their history.

I had to do Broken Shore campaign for the mount and that content is just dull and some of the quests are bad. I was lucky to find a group for Sentinax but killing three rares and 100 demons is not fun. But it was worth it, the mount is beautiful.

Rogue and Hunter

My outlaw rogue and beast mastery hunter (both adorable gnomes) are mostly doing dungeons and ocassional quests and they’re also working on their professions. Hunter has skinning and leatherworking, rogue has tailoring and enchanting. I can’t wait to get my hands on all the 8.0 profession changes!

Death Knight

So many people were praising death knight class hall campaign, I figured I might as well make one of my own and see if I like the playstyle.

The starting zone was amazing and evil!

She’s now level 108 and I hope to finish her soon. She has heirlooms and invasions give a lot of XP, it’s so easy to level with them.

I still haven’t done the class hall campaign, I’m saving that for 110 but I’m doing profession quests (she has mining and blacksmithing) and I really like those.

After being mage in a pretty dress for so long, I didn’t expect to enjoy playing as a plate wearer with two huge swords but for some reason, I really do. And not only because mobs barely hurt me and I have a self heal in my rotation but it just feels cool (no temperature pun intended). It makes me feel strong.

I’m thinking about making her my main for BAzeroth. It feels so weird to even consider it, I’ve always been a mage. I’ve been playing mage since WoD so it hasn’t been long but I never expected to main another class. It feels like a cheesy romantic story. “I never expected to fall in love with someone else. I’m sorry, baby, it’s not you, it’s me!” 😀 And it actually isn’t mage’s fault, I just enjoy death knight playstyle more. All those years ago, I made a mage because I liked their lore, there also were a lot of great mages in lore, the spells looked awesome and even in different stories and media, I just liked magic and witches.

Now I’m definitely gravitating more to hitting people over their heads with huge weapons. I wonder if it says something about me. I used to be all high class and cultured, now I just want to be evil and slap a bitch. Anyway.. *clears throat* death knights are awesome.

I should be able to post regularly again so see you next time! 🙂
